inSORS Demonstrates Industry's only Grid Architecture Server for Unprecedented Scale of Video Conferencing Endpoints at Wainhouse Summit
July 25,2006
(Boston, MA) Continuing its development of the most scalable, multi-point visual communications platform on the market today, inSORS demonstrated the capabilities of its Unified Collaboration Grid Server or “UCG” at the annual Wainhouse Summit in Boston. The inSORS UCG offers unprecedented collaborative power and scalability for the Global Enterprise. inSORS President Jim Miller teamed up with inSORS COO Terry Burke to give a real time demonstration for the Wainhouse Summit Showcase and both were also on hand during the following reception for ad-hoc demos of the inSORS Grid system. “We felt that the Wainhouse Summit was a perfect venue to showcase this enhancement to the already robust IG2 platform,” said Miller. “The inSORS UCG can now extend to 1,000’s of users with a single architecture. “Compared to the multiple appliances needed for our competitors’ solutions, the UCG offers a much more robust, less complicated system,” added Terry Burke. “The inSORS solution is the most scalable, complete system on the market.” For more information on inSORS and the UCG Server see below.
About the inSORS UCG
The new design of the inSORS UCG utilizes a grid architecture which creates an unprecedented ability to scale to thousands of visual collaboration users. The UCG can be deployed throughout a network infrastructure to optimize usage and perform efficient load balancing. The UCG comes with a powerful set of web-based network management tools to properly configure and monitor an enterprise-wide network. With an easy to use graphical interface, administrators can easily manage user and administrative details. A single server solution, the UCG integrates the functionality of many existing legacy videoconferencing devices. The UCG serves as an MCU, gatekeeper, gateway, firewall/nat traversal appliance, data sharing appliance, presence engine, recorder, web server and filer server. The inSORS UCG has an all inclusive collaborative tool set that includes: H.323 connectivity, VoIP integration, distributed whiteboard, file transfer, text chat and data sharing.
