inSORS, Perodon, and TechTeam Global Open Collaboration Facility June 2002
Detroit, MI ---
inSORS Integrated Communications, Inc., a Chicago-based communications

to jointly open and operate an inSORS Grid demo center at Tech
Team Global's Southfield, Michigan headquarters.
The Integrated
Multimedia Conferencing and Collaboration Demonstration Facility
will serve several purposes. "This venue will showcase the
inSORS Grid Virtual Venue software, highlight Perodon's impeccable
technical expertise, and demonstrate TechTeam's global support
capabilities," said Terrence Burke, inSORS' Vice President
of Operations.
Larry Granger,
Perodon's President and CEO, agrees that the timing is perfect
to bring this collaboration technology to the Detroit region,
stating, "In today's environment, companies need more effective
collaboration tools to reduce domestic and international travel
risk, save cost and time, and to increase access to teams of experts
or individuals in their home locations. This capability can be
used to shorten product/process development cycles, decrease problem
resolution times, and greatly improve the quality of group-to-
group or group-to-individual communications."
The inSORS Grid
(IG) platform-designed to allow multiple sights to interact as
one large group- greatly surpasses traditional video systems,
which have been designed for point-to-point applications. The
IG combines advanced distributed-computing technologies enabled
by multicast IP networks with inSORS' Virtual Venue software to
connect geographically dispersed groups of people within virtual
room environments. These environments are dynamic and scalable
and allow multiple locations to simultaneously interact as if
they were all in a single location.
