Sun Microsystems of Canada deploys inSORS Grid Solution
Sun uses IG2 for University based HPC Project Support

(Markham, Ontario) Sun Microsystems of Canada has deployed a room based inSORS Grid node to increase collaborative efforts and outreach to its University and public research based customers. Sun Canada has many HPC and Grid based initiatives currently under management in this space and intends to use the IG2 to enhance relationships and communications between the distributed sites. The IG2 will be used at Sun Canada to bring together key decision makers for immersive high-level meetings via multi-point video, audio and data sharing. The IG2 runs on any standard PC and securely over any IP network thus there are no recurring use charges. The IG2 will not only enhance internal collaboration between Sun Canada and its remote partners, but will also reduce travel requirements for those employees using the system.
