inSORS Announces Strategic Relationship with Key Access Grid Developers

CHICAGO, IL --- inSORS Integrated Communications, Inc., (www.insors.com) a Chicago-based communications firm, is pleased to announce its partnership with the Grid community through participation in technical and documentation programs and through commercial deployment efforts of the Grid and related technologies.

In seeking to validate the power, the potential, and the pure practicality of the Grid as an effective multimedia conferencing and collaboration tool, inSORS has engaged the resources of the Grid community in general, and the talents and expertise of many of the original Grid developers in particular.

Accordingly, inSORS is proud to announce we have engaged as Technical Strategic Advisors, the services of Ivan Judson, Lisa Childers, Mark Hereld, Terry Disz, Bob Olson, and Mike Papka. Together, we look forward to contributing to the Grid and its technologies in both commercial ventures and educational settings.

In the coming days, inSORS' primary efforts will focus on extending the end-to-end implementation of Grid nodes via one-stop Grid service that includes procurement of all hardware and software specifications, complete installation services, on-site training services, and multiple levels of support. inSORS is making advances in the following areas: 1) simplifying the Grid user interface, 2) translating protocols with H323, 3) compatibility with the new XP operating system, 4) incorporating higher resolution codecs such as MPEG-4, and 5) influencing commercial carriers to adopt native multicasting. inSORS is carrying this effort forward so that it can fulfill the needs of the Educational and Research Communities as well as Fortune 500 communities.

Further, inSORS has engaged a silver sponsorship in the Global Grid Forum and plans to focus on contributing to Advanced Collaboration Environments (ACE) working group within the GGF.
