DENVER, CO ---
inSORS Integrated Communications, Inc., a Chicago-based communications
firm, played an integral role in the first truly global technical
conference on the Access Grid.
At the annual SC Global 2001
conference, held this year on November 10-16 in Denver,
inSORS assisted the SC Global team in creating the first
worldwide conference utilizing the Access Grid: a multinational
and multicultural meeting place for communication and discussion
of ideas relating to high-end computing and networking and
their impacts on communications within science and society.
To participate in this ground
breaking event, inSORS provided servers for Argonne National
Laboratory's Voyager Record and Playback system, which captures
Access Grid node sessions for future reference. Additionally,
inSORS provided a valuable resource for the development
of the Voyager system at the conference, as well as design
and development of the SC Global Virtual Venue.
inSORS' Director of Enhanced Communications Jim Miller further
provided roving technical support for all the conference
rooms used within the SC Global program throughout the week.
"This was a great coming
out party for the Access Grid and its related technologies,"
said Miller, "and we at inSORS are extremely delighted
to have been able to participate and lend our expertise
to the conference. We are looking forward to a continued
relationship with the SC Global organization."
