SGI, Boeing and Intel demonstrate IG2 technology
from the SC2005 Show Floor

November 18, 2005

Seattle, WA – The SuperComputing 2005 show floor provided the backdrop for a unique application of the inSORS Grid collaboration system, the IG2. Technology giants SGI, Boeing and Intel had three-way collaborative sessions between their respective booths. Through high-end visualization and immersive video and audio the team members collaborated on the manufacture and maintenance of a “live” Boeing 777 undercarriage located on the SC2005 show floor. The demonstration provided proof of the positive impact the IG2 can make for distributed teams working on complex processes. The “White Paper” of this project can be found on the inSORS website (http://www.insors.com/cs).
