CHICAGO, IL --- inSORS Integrated Communications, Inc., a Chicago-based communications solutions provider offering enterprise-scale video, audio, and data products and services, has implemented its inSORS Grid conferencing and collaboration solution at the Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC) in La Jolla, CA. SAIC is a "Fortune 500" company with 40,000 employees in 150 cities around the world. SAIC concentrates on research and engineering in both the public and private sectors. Revenue for fiscal year 2002 was $5.9 billion.

The inSORS Grid (IG) is inSORS' interactive, multimedia conferencing and collaboration system. The IG is an IP- and multicast- based product that joins video, audio, and data streams in real time for the purposes of communicating, training, educating, and marketing from within high-end virtual video conferencing rooms that accommodate 100s of participants from over 30 locations.

Solar physicists with SAIC's Advanced Systems Group will be collaborating with remote researchers on the Solar Corona Model. SAIC is part of the Center for Space Weather Modeling and will use the IG to communicate with colleagues at 10 other institutions across the country that are also part of the CISM group. Further, this node will provide an important link within the west coast research and business community and the growing worldwide Access Grid community.
