Arlington, VA --- inSORS Integrated
Communications, Inc., a Chicago-based communications firm that
develops, markets, and supports collaboration software and solutions,
will continue support for the inSORS Grid (IG) software platform
installed on the National Science Foundation's Computer and Information
Science and Engineering's (NSF CiSE) Access Grid node. The support
includes on-site meeting operation and management. The inSORS
team will also actively promote usage of the technology to increase
collaboration within the NSF.
NSF CiSE, which holds as its primary
mission the ability to enable the U.S. to uphold a position of
world leadership in computing, communications, and information
science as well as to promote understanding of the principles
and uses of advanced computing and to contribute to universal
and affordable participation in an information-based society,
utilizes the IG platform to increase collaboration among NSF and
the many sites which are involved in NSF related projects.
The IG platform provides individuals
and groups the ability to meet via video and audio modes of interaction
and to collaborate on multiple data applications all within their
chosen working environment, ranging from a laptop or personal
phone to a conference room or auditorium. This robust solution
offers complete IP-based, full-duplex audio, 30 frame-per-second
video, and total data interaction/sharing capabilities among anywhere
from two to 30 locations.
