Arlington, VA --- inSORS Integrated
Communications, Inc., a Chicago-based communications firm that
develops, markets, and supports collaboration software and solutions,
has installed its inSORS Grid (IG) software platform on the National
Science Foundation's Computer and Information Science and Engineering's
(NSF CiSE) Access Grid node.
NSF CiSE, which holds as its primary
mission the ability to enable the U.S. to uphold a position of
world leadership in computing, communications, and information
science as well as to promote understanding of the principles
and uses of advanced computing and to contribute to universal
and affordable participation in an information-based society,
will utilize the IG platform to increase the efficiency and ease-of-use
of its Access Grid node.
The IG platform provides individuals
and groups the ability to meet via video and audio modes of interaction
and to collaborate on multiple data applications all within their
chosen working environment, ranging from a laptop or personal
phone to a conference room or auditorium. This robust solution
offers complete IP-based, full-duplex audio, 30 frame-per-second
video, and total data interaction/sharing capabilities among anywhere
from two to 30 locations.
In addition to the software upgrade
to the NSF CiSE node, inSORS also provided training and equipment
at the NSF CiSE location.
