at Middle Tennessee State University

April 17, 2004

CHICAGO, IL – inSORS Integrated Communications, Inc., provider of innovative software-based unified collaboration solutions, has deployed an inSORS Grid (IG) software/hardware conferencing solution at Middle Tennessee State University (MTSU).

Dedicated educators and administrators at MTSU have worked hard to enhance network and IT infrastructure technologies, and their IG deployment is another step in that process. Computer Science Department Chairperson Dr. Richard Detmer has taken a strong leadership role in developing technologies at MTSU by facilitating a connection to the Internet2 network, pushing for local advances in computer sciences, and by connecting MTSU to the Access Grid community of researchers through a complete IG solution. Dr. Detmer and his department will use the IG system for collaborations with the US Department of Energy National Laboratories as well as other universities researching high-performance computing applications.

inSORS, based in Chicago with operations in Detroit, New York, Houston, Los Angeles, London, Brussels, and Tokyo, supports enterprise unified collaboration software and solutions that enable multiple groups and individuals to interact with high-quality audio, video, and data.

The inSORS Grid solution provides a state-of-the-art conferencing and collaboration platform that interoperates and improves multiple technologies. inSORS Grid solutions include client and venue server software, documentation and technical support, and comprehensive professional services including installation, network and collaboration consulting, and training.
