UK Midlands Area Gets Connected with inSORS Grid

December, 2003

London, England --- inSORS Integrated Communications, Inc. has experienced a dramatic increase in its UK customer base.. Working with its UK partner, i2a Consulting, inSORS is scheduling inSORS Grid (IG) deployments at universities in the Midlands area: Birmingham University Visualization Center, Warwick University, and Wolverhampton University. An additional IG node is planned at Birmingham in January, 2004.

inSORS is providing custom installations for each site which includes inSORS Grid Research nodes. Sam Dunnachie, inSORS President of UK Sales and Partner, i2a Consulting, has worked closely with these universities in determining the best solution at each site. "Each university has the same basic requirements for the IG, but needed some additions to the standard solution. We were pleased to be able to provide a custom package to meet the needs of each customer."

Although each site received custom solutions, inSORS considered the deployments as part of the Midlands Area group and thus provided a volume discount to each purchase. "These purchases were handled by the same budget committee, so it made sense to consider them as a group purchase," noted Dunnachie.

inSORS has seen a rise in group purchases. Research projects are often dispersed across many universities, however, all operating within the same project budget. The IG provides multipoint collaboration and thus is the ideal solution for these projects. inSORS' President of Research and Education Sector, Jim Miller, has seen this trend increase customer satisfaction. "The power of the IG is realized when all sites participating in the project are connected. Managing and negotiating the many sites as a single entity while still meeting the individual site's requirements has proven to be a successful formula for our customers."
