CHICAGO --- inSORS Integrated Communications, Inc., a Chicago-based
communications firm that has developed and commercialized prototype
Access Grid collaboration software, has deployed its inSORS Grid
(IG) software at the Department of Energy's Lawrence Berkeley National
Laboratory (LBNL). Along with its implementations at Oak Ridge National
Laboratory in Tennessee and Argonne National Laboratory in Illinois,
inSORS' recent deployment marks continued expansion within the Department
of Energy's National Laboratory system.
In addition to embracing and showcasing
the IG platform, LBNL, in close cooperation with inSORS, will
host monthly demonstrations of the inSORS Grid for local Bay Area
and Silicon Valley leaders.
inSORS has advanced and expanded
the original objectives and achievements of the Access Grid platform
through hardware standardization and software functionality. Specifically,
the inSORS Grid platform has solidified the enormous power and
practicality of Grid technologies by adding commercial-class stability,
multiple features and enhancements, and unmatched browser-based
ease-of-use. The result is a state-of-the-art conferencing and
collaboration communications platform that enables complete IP-based,
full-duplex audio, 30 frame-per-second video, and total data interaction/sharing
capabilities among anywhere from two to 30 locations.
The IG product line scales from desktop/laptop
systems to conference room/classroom systems to auditorium-based
large room systems. The IG includes client and venue software,
documentation and technical support, and a comprehensive range
of value-added professional services to implement nodes quickly
and efficiently. These services include staging, configuration,
and installation of hardware; network consulting; training; and
custom configurations and private venues.
