USJFCOM uses inSORS Grid to demonstrate training transformation during December IITSEC 2004
inSORS receives kudos at the recent Interservice/Industry Training, Simulation, and Education Conference, Dec 6-9 in Orlando, for the inSORS Grid’s “Live-Virtual-Constructive” (L-V-C) capabilities.
(Orlando, FL. Dec 8, 2004) -- The U.S. Air Force and U.S. Joint Forces Command recently used a major modeling and simulation event to demonstrate a step forward in using multiple technologies to provide realistic training.
The Interservice/Industry Training, Simulation, and Education Conference (I/ITSEC), recently held at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Fla., attracted more than 15,000 attendees who witnessed the integration of 33 separate systems into simulated wargames in a live, virtual, and constructive (LVC) environment.
This occurred during four co-sponsored virtual training demonstrations, called the Joint Virtual Training Special Event (JVTSE).
The event provided an opportunity to showcase new and emerging technologies and capabilities for training, education, and simulation while demonstrating to service, industry, academic, and coalition experts what USJFCOM envisions for the Joint National Training Capability (JNTC) seamless LVC training environment.
InSORS, with its inSORS Grid collaboration software, provided a live, 30 location videoconferencing demonstration for the JVTSE, enabling a “video wall” of collaborating participants to be displayed in the JFCOM booth:
