inSORS Releases Integrated Video Conferencing, and Data Collaboration Platform
IG2 is a unique collaboration platform that integrates voice, video, and data; and makes collaboration universally accessible and for both individuals and groups.
May 12, 2005 CHICAGO, IL-- inSORS Integrated Communications, Inc. (inSORS) has released the inSORS Grid 2 (IG2) voice, video, & data collaboration platform designed to facilitate rich communications for groups, as well as, individual knowledge workers. IG2 is robust, flexible, easy-to-use, and runs securely over both private & public networks.
IG2 dramatically expands small, medium, and large group collaboration with:
- A “like I am there” experience enabled by full duplex audio, and multiple simultaneous video & data views for each location;
- Complete “on demand” inclusion of both room based groups & individuals as participants, or for immediate consultations; and,
- Integrated “data sharing” capabilities as a natural partner to voice and video.
IG2 provides a single collaboration environment that brings together auditoriums, conference rooms, workspaces, video endpoints, PC endpoints, and/or telephones. Through its patented software, inSORS delivers the highest quality user experience for work groups ranging from 2 to 20+ individuals over 2 to 20+ locations.
IG2 expands on the capabilities of the first inSORS Grid with several important new features, including: interoperability with ITU-standard H.323 videoconferencing systems; full-duplex audio with standard and wide band codecs; H.264 video compression for improved video quality at all bandwidths; and secure firewall and NAT traversal. Unique to IG2 are the ability to optimally deliver 2.0+ million pixels of video; and, record and archive voice, video, & data communications for prospective playback within real time collaborations.
“inSORS’ IG2 client-server architecture delivers innovative new capabilities that make remote collaboration sessions very rich and natural-feeling. The product works as well with single PC workstations as it does with multiple-camera, multiple projector conference rooms, and H323 videoconferencing systems; while providing users an intuitive interface that doesn’t get in the way of business communications,” states Andrew W. Davis, managing director of analyst firm Wainhouse Research. “IG2 is visual collaboration the way it was meant to be. The second generation product has remarkably improved audio and video performance.”
