July 3, 2002

CHICAGO, IL --- inSORS Integrated Communications, Inc., a Chicago-based communications firm and Silver Sponsor of the Global Grid Forum, is proud to announce that it will utilize the inSORS Grid (IG) platform to broadcast presentations from the plenary sessions of The Global Grid Forum 5 meeting to be held in Edinburgh, Scotland, July 21-24. GGF-5 will take place at the Edinburgh International Conference Center. The plenary sessions will be two way with inSORS providing full node interaction and functionality during and between sessions.

With more than 850 attendees already registered, GGF-5 has more than doubled the number of registrants from the previous meeting (GGF-4 held in Toronto, Canada). For a complete listing of the program, which will be available over the Access Grid, please see http://www.gridforum.org/Meetings/GGF5/ggf5_pl.htm.

"As Silver Sponsors," notes inSORS CEO Michael Galich, "we are pleased to provide this service to those in the GGF community who may not be able to attend the event." For those that might miss the live broadcast, Mr. Galich added, "inSORS also plans to record the sessions and make them available for review."

The IG, which is the commercialized version of the original Access Grid prototype, links dispersed locations with immersive, interactive, rich-media communications and accelerates the adoption of grid collaboration by the commercial sector. The IG also adds commercial class stability, ease of use, and added functionality to the original platform. inSORS provides value-added professional services to implement nodes quickly and efficiently.

About the Global Grid Forum
The Global Grid Forum (GGF) is a community-initiated forum of individual researchers and practitioners working on distributed computing, or "grid" technologies. GGF work is done through working groups and research groups in a fashion loosely modeled after the Internet Standards Process, including the development of an ongoing technical document series similar to the IETF's Request for Comments (RFC), where Internet standards are documented. GGF efforts are also aimed at the development of a broadly based Integrated Grid Architecture that can serve to guide the research, development, and deployment activities of the emerging Grid communities. Established initially as "Grid Forum" in late 1998, GGF meets three times annually with participation from over 30 countries, over 250 organizations, and typically 350-500 participants. GGF's next meeting is GGF5 in Edinburgh, Scotland from July 21-24, 2002. For more information about GGF, visit the GGF website at http://www.gridforum.org.
