inSORS Deploys Multiple IG Collaboration Solutions
at the University of Florida

Digital Worlds Institute and the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering add nodes

Gainesville, FL – inSORS Integrated Communications, Inc., provider of innovative software-based unified collaboration solutions, has deployed two inSORS Grid (IG) software/hardware conferencing solutions at the University of Florida at Gainesville.

The Digital Worlds Institute’s (DWI) mission is to nurture leading edge research and education between engineering and the arts, utilizing the tools of digital technology and culture. By bringing together the diverse talents of University of Florida faculty, students, and staff in a multifaceted collaborative environment, the Institute serves as a platform for interdisciplinary research that would not have occurred within the confines of any one college or department. Through the use of telecommunications and high performance technologies, the Institute reaches out across the campus, state, nation, and the world to share new tools and opportunities with creative people everywhere. The node at the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering will be used to collaborate with a smaller off-campus site.

Additionally, inSORS and DWI have formed a partnership to further the develpment of the IG for use within the DWI's many collaboration based projects. DWI will provide user feedback and development requirements while promoting IG usage globally.
