inSORS attends June 2006 Collaborative Events
CTC and SOF Week are among high-end events

June 26, 2006

(Chicago, IL) inSORS Communications, the leader in end to end IP communications, participated in the Collaborative Technologies Conference (CTC) and the Special Operations Forces Week in the month of June.   The inSORS booth at both events saw heavy traffic and many demonstrations were given.  The inSORS Grid 2 or “IG2” is a software based multi-point video, audio, and data sharing system.  inSORS intends to use the event to highlight the IG2’s scalability and grid-like architecture.  The IG2 is the only system currently available that seamlessly scales from the desktop to full room based endpoints.  The IG2 uses a grid-enabled server architecture that also encourages usage on low bandwidth sites as well as fiber optic connected sites.  See below for further information on both inSORS and the SOCOM and CTC events.

SOF Week June 19-22, 2006

APBI/SOF Week 2006 is a series of conferences and events hosted by the United States Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) designed to enhance collaboration among special operations forces. Associated with SOF Week 2006 will be several social events and the Advance Planning Briefing to Industry (APBI).  The APBI should be attended by marketing and business development personnel. This special program is designed to enlighten corporate level executives about upcoming USSOCOM acquisition opportunities.  SOF Week 2006 is an excellent opportunity for companies to exhibit their latest products and technologies to senior NCOs, Officers and Commanders within the SOF community. USSOCOM Headquarters’ Staff will be touring the exhibits and interacting with industry at the social events.

CTC June 20-23, 2006

The CTC conference addresses the changes forward-looking organizations face as they struggle to adopt and fully utilize the new wave of collaborative applications available today and those on the horizon.  Smart companies know that tools to help employees work better together can be an important competitive advantage. As IT becomes more and more commoditized across organizations, it’s how companies use the technology that becomes critical. From tutorials on Managing Effective Virtual Teams to practical sessions on Collaborative Workspaces and Network Optimization, CTC will help you figure out where and how collaboration tools will make the biggest impact on your organization.
