inSORS Grid Connects Chevron iField Team

Bakersfield, CA – inSORS Integrated Communications, a Chicago-based multimedia collaboration software developer recently deployed inSORS Grid desktop and office solutions to enable multimedia collaboration among Chevron’s San Joaquin Valley iField (Intelligent Oilfield) team, including partners, Epsis and SAIC.  inSORS Grid is an important part of the Chevron North American Upstream group’s commitment to using technology to improve production efficiency.

iField is a global initiative to integrate production operations by connecting all aspects of upstream operations with the right people and the latest technology.  iField technologies include real-time well monitoring, data management and processing, remote operations control, integrated supply chain processes, real-time operational financial modeling, and high-resolution 3D reservoir modeling in order to provide information about production activities at anytime and at any location.

inSORS Grid is already an important part of Chevron’s Gulf of Mexico drilling monitoring and remote operations, allowing offshore drilling and engineering crews to share video, audio, data, and high-resolution graphics with a state-of-the-art drilling command center in Houston.  The recent deployment of inSORS Grid technology in Bakersfield, CA, is an important next step for North American Upstream operations, allowing iField implementation managers to collaborate on technology improvements in Chevron’s San Joaquin Valley production operations in order to enable faster and better decisions throughout the production process.
