inSORS Connects CANARIE's Advanced Networks Workshop to SC2002

October 29, 2002

CHICAGO --- inSORS Integrated Communications, Inc., a Chicago-based communications firm, has today announced that it will utilize the inSORS Grid (IG) platform to connect remote presenters to Canada's Advanced Internet Organization's (CANARIE) 8th Annual Advanced Networks Workshop (ANW). ANW will be held in Montreal, Quebec, November 18-20, 2002.

The IG, which is the commercialized version of the original Access Grid prototype, links dispersed locations with immersive, interactive, rich-media communications and accelerates the adoption of grid collaboration by the commercial sector. The IG also adds commercial class stability, ease of use, and added functionality to the original platform. Additionally, inSORS provides value-added professional services to implement nodes quickly and efficiently.

inSORS will set up an IG node in the Internet Café at ANW from which Ivan Judson of Argonne National Laboratory will demonstrate the IG technology while presenting in the Advanced Applications Track from the Exhibit Floor at SC2002. inSORS will provide full audio, video, and data connectivity from the Advanced Networks Workshop and invites other sites to participate as well. Additionally, inSORS will conduct several product demonstrations and interactive presentations with other institutions that are utilizing the Access Grid technology on the exhibit floor at SC2002.

inSORS' CEO Michael Galich, who will not be in Quebec but will join the session via an IG node at inSORS Chicago headquarters, is excited about inSORS' participation in the event. "CANARIE has provided inSORS with a unique opportunity to showcase our product line as well as provide a great practical usage," Mr. Galich said. "Connecting to the exhibit floor at SC2002 highlights the tremendous capabilities of the technology."

For more information regarding the ANW schedule, please see the ANW website. For more information regarding how to connect to this session from remote sites, please contact Jim Miller at inSORS by e-mail.
