CHICAGO, IL --- inSORS Integrated Communications, Inc., a Chicago-based communications solutions provider offering enterprise-scale video, audio, and data products and services, has implemented its inSORS Grid conferencing and collaboration solution at the California Institute of Technology.

The inSORS Grid (IG) is inSORS' interactive, multimedia conferencing and collaboration system. The IG is an IP- and multicast- based product that joins video, audio, and data streams in real time for the purposes of communicating, training, educating, and marketing from within high-end virtual video conferencing rooms that accommodate 100s of participants from over 30 locations.

At Cal Tech's Center for Advanced Computing Research (CACR), the inSORS Grid node will offer both administrators and students the opportunity to collaborate with colleagues from across the country and around the globe. Further, this node will provide an important Access Grid link within the west coast university community and the growing worldwide Access Grid community.

In accordance with the agreement between CACR and inSORS, inSORS will also utilize this new inSORS Grid node to perform customer demonstrations at the CACR facility. "It is a great way to show off the technology," noted Jim Miller, inSORS President of Research and Educational Sales, "bringing potential customers into an existing customer's facility to see the inSORS Grid in real action."
