IOCOM Video Conferencing Solution Powers Honeywell Global Design Reviews

Solution achieves Honeywell's Six Sigma Plus certification through advanced visual communications for multiple global locations

CHICAGO - July 14, 2009 - IOCOM, a leading software provider for enterprise-class video conferencing capabilities, announced that Honeywell has awarded Six Sigma Plus certification for its company-wide IOCOM visual communication initiative. Honeywell has implemented IOCOM's video conferencing and collaboration solution as the core application for initiating and managing multi-location process and project design reviews involving hundreds of people across the world. The total cost of the solution was less than the expense of bringing together a customer and the design teams for one in-person meeting.

IOCOM now currently connects key Honeywell team members in Chicago, London, Antwerp, Delhi and Kuala Lumpur without ever leaving their offices - either instantly or in prescheduled meetings - to effectively address and resolve critical issues in a more efficient, thorough and personal manner. Honeywell is planning to expand the use of IOCOM technology to its Houston office and others over time. The solution has achieved Honeywell's stringent Six Sigma Plus process quality objective, a proprietary system that takes the popular Six Sigma management strategy to the next level of excellence and is applied to all Honeywell businesses, processes and products.

"Companies like Honeywell with critical work processes that involve and affect people across multiple locations can especially benefit from IOCOM's solutions," said IOCOM CEO, Michael Galich. "By enabling convenient communication through virtually any Internet-enabled device, telephone or video conference appliance, IOCOM improves project efficiency by delivering a new level of inclusion and teaming between locations and centers of expertise."

IOCOM's system provides seamless video conferencing, voice, instant messaging and collaboration capabilities, which enable globally dispersed employees to conduct face-to-face meetings and share design drawings anytime. Honeywell has also integrated SmartBoard and Adobe Acrobat technologies with IOCOM to support the multinational teams' wide range of requirements. The efficiency gained from using IOCOM's convenient solution is helping Honeywell dramatically accelerate project completion times and reduce process costs.
