IOCOM deploys IG2 solution within Egyptian Research Institutes

June 25, 2007 // Chicago, IL – IOCOM, an inSORS Company, is pleased to announce a multi-site deployment of it’s flagship collaboration system, the IG2, to the Informatics Research Institute (IRI) of the Mubarak City for Scientific Research and Technology Applications (MuCSAT). MuCSAT is located in Alexandria, Egypt and is funded by the Egyptian Ministry of Communications and Information Technology. The mission of the IRI is to participate in the direction of a national strategy for informatics and networking technology. It will also transfer and adapt information for the Egyptian environment. The IG2 server and software licenses will encourage collaboration between multi-disciplinary teams to augment and increase the speed and the success rate of these distributed projects. The IG2 is a software based, multi-point video, audio and data sharing solution. The IG2 tool set includes real time, interactive video and audio, data share, file share, phone dial in and out, chat, distributed white board and also contains firewall traversal and encryption options. The IG2 runs on any standard PC and can scale from ultra mobile PC’s to large conference rooms and command centers.
