Mr. Henige is Managing Member of Strategic Capital Services, LLC, a closely held private equity and advisory firm based in Chicago.  Mr. Henige serves as Chief Executive Officer of Romane Fragrances, LLC., one of the portfolio companies.  Romane Fragrances, located in Elmhurst, IL designs, produces and distributes fragrances under the Romane label and in a private label capacity for national and international retailers.

 

Mr. Henige is also a Director of Order Execution Services, Inc., a Princeton, New Jersey based securities broker/dealer and provider of electronic National Market System access for market centers and broker-dealers. 

 

Prior to forming Strategic Capital Services, Mr. Henige was President of O’Connor Specialists, L.L.C., a group of equity options specialists and market makers operating on the floor of the Chicago Board Options Exchange (CBOE).   During this period, Mr. Henige, a CBOE member, held several industry leadership positions including serving on the Chicago Board Options Exchange Market Performance, Business Development and Marketing Committees.

 

Mr. Henige also served as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for the Chicago Stock Exchange.  In this capacity, Mr. Henige was responsible for all accounting and finance related matters, execution of the Exchange’s strategic plan, the establishment and maintenance of the internal control structure, human resources, the internal audit function, risk management, facilities as well as several other strategic initiatives. 

 

Mr. Henige, a certified public accountant, also was an auditor and management consultant for Deloitte & Touche LLP, specializing in the financial services industry with extensive experience with securities broker/dealers, investment banks, futures commissions merchants, commodity, equity and derivative exchanges.  Mr. Henige has appeared before several Audit Committees and has significant experience identifying and dealing with Audit Committee issues.

 

Mr. Henige has served on several securities industry related committees including work with the Consolidated Tape Association Board and the Federal Reserve’s Committee on Credit Risk and Payment Systems.  He has also represented organizations before the Securities and Exchange Commission and the Internal Revenue Service.

 

A graduate of the Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University and the University of Notre Dame, Mr. Henige has acted as acted as advisor and principal on several mergers and acquisitions and capital raises in the software and financial services industries.  Mr. Henige is an active angel investor, serving on several Boards, with investments in many types of business concerns.

 

Active in several community activities, Mr. Henige is a member of the University of Illinois at Chicago Business Advisory Committee, Chairman of the Greater Chicago Food Depository Finance Community Fund-Raiser, Member of the Audit Committee for America’s Second Harvest, Member of the Notre Dame Monogram Club, Notre Dame Sorin Society, and Member of the Chicago Attack Soccer Club Board of Directors.  He was also a coach Hinsdale Hawks youth soccer program.
